Shoppa’s Material Handling is seeking a Tire Technician to install and service tires on forklifts and related equipment. The role uses a mobile tire press truck and involves tire storage, inventory, and on-site services to customers in Texas.

The ideal candidate has basic mechanical knowledge, a positive attitude, and strong customer service skills. Responsibilities include safely mounting/dismounting tires, maintaining tools, and completing work orders daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year material handling tire experience.
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Mount and dismount various sizes and types of industrial tires using a hydraulic press.
• Stock tires in proper locations and relocate as needed.
• Identify normal wear vs. damaged tires.
• Restock tire inventory on the truck.
• Maintain tire truck and keep tools in good condition.
• Complete tire work orders with model/serial numbers and hours.

This position requires basic mechanical knowledge, able to physically perform tire installation and the storage of tire inventory. This opportunity represents Shoppa’s Material Handling and requires professionalism, strong communication skills, attention to detail, great attitude, and outstanding customer service.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Safely, efficiently, and properly mount/dismount various sizes and types of industrial tires, utilizing a hydraulic 250-ton press inside the mobile tire truckStock the tires in proper locations and relocate or rearrange if necessaryBe able to identify normal wear & tear vs. abused tiresRestock the tire inventory on the truckEnsure regular service maintenance is performed on tire truck.Assure that all tools including jacks, rings, stands, etc. are kept in good conditionNotify Tire Dept. Manager when replacement is necessary for the toolsComplete tire work orders with model, serial numbers, hour meter readings, and note any repairs needing to be doneDrive in a safe and courteous manner.
