Job summary

Titan International, Inc. is seeking an R&D Compounding Engineer in Clinton, TN. You will collaborate with the Materials Research Chemist to develop and test new tire rubber compounds, evaluate raw materials, and maintain production rubber compounds across manufacturing facilities.

You will lead projects, troubleshoot processing issues, and report lab and field results while staying current with patents and literature in tire technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Rubber Engineering or Materials Science or equivalent.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years in rubber or plastics technology; tire manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of scientific research principles and data analysis.
• Understanding of tire manufacturing processes and tire design.

Responsibilities

• Develop rubber compound formulations and test new materials.
• Lead R&D projects and factory trials for new compounds.
• Evaluate raw materials and production rubber compounds.
• Collect and report lab and field test results; support customer field trials.
