Job summary

Titan International, Inc. in Clinton, TN is seeking a Rubber Chemist to develop and optimize rubber compounds for tire manufacturing.

You will evaluate materials, plan trials, analyze results, and work with cross-functional teams to improve performance, processing, and cost. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related technical field and hands-on experience in rubber compounding, materials development, or equivalent laboratory settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• Experience in rubber compounding, polymer chemistry, materials development, or related laboratory/manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of rubber raw materials, compounding principles, cure systems, and physical property testing.
• Ability to analyze technical data, troubleshoot material issues, and translate findings into practical recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop new rubber formulations and refine existing compounds to improve performance, processing, quality, and cost.
• Plan and conduct laboratory trials to evaluate compound properties and performance.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing teams for troubleshooting and process improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Product Development teams on new products and improvements.
• Assist with plant trials and scale-up of formulations from lab to production.
