Job summary

Baillow Recruiting LLC is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support purchasing and inventory operations across multiple locations in the Des Moines area. The role emphasizes tire industry knowledge and practical purchasing/inventory experience to maintain stock levels and optimize product availability.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years in purchasing/inventory roles, proficiency with ERP and other systems, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities across sites.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of purchasing, receiving, inventory management, or related experience.
• Strong tire industry knowledge preferred.
• Ability to learn and operate multiple software systems.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing and inventory for tire and product lines.
• Create, update, and maintain purchase orders.
• Monitor inventory levels and analyze purchasing trends.
• Coordinate with internal teams on shortages, pricing, new products, and special requests.
• Communicate with vendors and maintain supplier relationships.
• Assist with inventory forecasting and purchasing decisions.
• Respond to inventory questions from multiple locations.
• Work across multiple software systems for purchasing and inventory.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing and inventory processes.
