(Tire & Lube Tech) General Service Technician

Job Description

The General Service Technician role can be full-time or part-time and is an hourly position based on the needs of the business. The technician is responsible for performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services according to company standards and manufacturer specifications. The goal is to deliver exceptional 5-star service by effectively communicating vehicle issues and solutions while meeting guest expectations for time and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently and accurately following Monro standards.
• Provide tire services including wheel removal, balancing, patching, mounting, installation, and TPMS repairs.
• Conduct vehicle services such as oil changes, lubrications, basic maintenance, and battery testing and installation.
• Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every guest vehicle, identifying and communicating additional needed services.
• Assist in inventory management including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking.
• Maintain the store's cleanliness and guest-ready condition, assisting with general duties.
• Perform all services in accordance with safety standards, including wheel torque and oil safety protocols.
• Test drive vehicles following the Road Test policy, observing traffic and safety laws.
• Adhere to company policies, governmental standards, and safety procedures.
• Maintain technical knowledge through Monro University training modules.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely per manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating initiative in problem-solving and decision-making.
