Titan International, Inc., a global leading wheel and tire assembly manufacturer for the agriculture, construction, forestry and mining markets, is seeking a Tire Builder to join our team at our Titan Tire Corporations facility in Des Moines, IA. The primary function of this position is to assemble tires in accordance with technical specifications to achieve total customer satisfaction in the area of quality and on‑time delivery.

Work Schedule and Location

• Shift: 11 pm–7 am
• Location: Des Moines, IA

Essential Functions

• Receive spec and FPC sheet containing a checklist for the assigned tire‑building machine.
• Check machine and building materials for approved tolerances.
• Use foot pedals and hands simultaneously to assemble carcass.
• Inspect each carcass for defects.
• Construct tire carcass according to technical and general specifications.
• Meet the build goal set for each catalog number.
• Maintain tire‑floor equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Follow safety instructions and maintain a safe work area.
• Report or correct immediately all equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or material/product deviations to supervisor.
• Report equipment upkeep and quality assurance status to supervisor.
• Keep the work area clean and safe throughout the shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education, training, and experience that performs the essential functions of this position.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications.
• Must pass certified safety screening.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting bulky objects up to 75 lbs or more.
• Pushing or pulling wheeled racks.
• Full range of motion in cervical, shoulder, elbow, wrist, finger, hand, knee, and foot joints.
• Work conditions are 100 % inside; exposure to moderate noise, excessive heat, slight vibrations, moving mechanical parts, possible burns, electric shock, chemicals, odors, dust, heights, and narrow access areas.
