Position Summary
As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department, delivering more of what members love, for less. You will collaborate with other associates to ensure the club meets members' expectations.
What you'll do
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate others on tools, tasks, and resources, and mentor new technicians. Develop interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.
- Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality. Show proficiency with Point of Sale systems, phone, and in-person sales techniques.
- Be a Techie: Use digital tools to plan sales, improve service, and increase engagement. Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to services, safety, new products, and training.
- Be an Owner: Communicate needs for equipment, tools, and supplies. Manage returns, special orders, operate cash registers, process transactions, and maintain inventory accuracy. Ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, stored, and assist members with purchasing decisions.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote the brand by valuing the member experience, modeling high-quality service, and inspiring others. Support a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented work environment. Understand and help overcome roadblocks, and assist in training team members.
- Act with Integrity: Uphold high standards of ethics and compliance, support Walmart’s culture, and hold oneself and others accountable. Support Walmart’s goal of positive impact for all stakeholders.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $25.00. The actual rate will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Additional premiums may apply based on specific circumstances.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid state-issued driver's license.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in auto service industry or retail experience.
