Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Tire & Battery Center team member to maintain safety, organize the sales floor, and assist Members with tire and battery services.

You will greet Members, recommend products, manage services, and ensure accurate pricing and displays while supporting efficient service workflows. The role emphasizes safety compliance, strong interpersonal skills, and the use of digital tools to enhance operations.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Preferred: Auto service industry experience or Retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facility and sales floor safety and standards by following safety policies and procedures, including safety sweeps and proper material handling.
• Keeps Tire and Battery Center sales floor organized, stocked, zoned and merchandised per policy, handling claims, returns, shrink and damages.
• Presents and maintains merchandise displays, signs prices, and secures fragile items.
• Monitors tire and battery orders, assists with installation appointments, and communicates lead time changes or cancellations.
• Provides expert member service by greeting members, assessing needs, assisting with purchases and services, and explaining warranties.
• Drives sales and service excellence by promoting TBC offerings and coordinating with club teams.
• Prioritizes service workflow in TBC bays and coordinates with Team Lead/Technicians to meet needs.
• Demonstrates knowledge of safety, TPMS, product specs, point-of-sale, and selling techniques.
• Uses digital tools and handheld devices to plan sales, improve service, and train team members in new tools.
• Acts as a brand advocate, mentoring others and ensuring a high-quality member experience.
• Performs purchasing and service tasks, completes vehicle service requests, operates TBC equipment safely, and handles merchandise.
