A leading company in the automotive service industry is seeking an experienced Tire and Lube Technician to perform fluid checks and basic maintenance. Responsibilities include ensuring system security, diagnosing issues, and using various tools for repairs. The ideal candidate should have vehicle knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Jenkins and Wynne is looking for an experienced Tire and Lube Technician. This role will mainly be focused on fluid checks and basic maintenance. Typically, an Express or QuickLane Service Technician will change a vehicle's oil, check the transmission fluid and other fluid levels, brake and tire changes, alignments, inspect various belts and filters, and check air levels and gauges.
Tire and Lube Technician Responsibilities:
Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly
Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks
Tire and Lube Technician Requirements:
Previous experience at a dealership is a plus
Ability to identify the problem quickly
Knowledge of automobiles
Effective analytical and communication skills
Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 1 year in service department preferred
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills
Positive, friendly attitude
