Job description

A great UHY client is seeking a Tipalti Implementation & Configuration Consultant to lead and support the configuration, testing, optimization, and documentation of Tipalti within a complex accounting systems environment. This role will work closely with Accounting, Finance, and IT to translate accounting and Accounts Payable requirements into effective system workflows while ensuring the platform supports internal controls and business requirements.

The Tipalti Implementation & Configuration Consultant will be responsible for hands-on Tipalti implementation and configuration, including workflow setup, testing, troubleshooting, integration support, and process documentation. Experience with Sage Intacct implementation and configuration is also required, including experience supporting the Tipalti integration with Sage Intacct through CData.

Tipalti Implementation & Configuration Consultant Responsibilities

• Lead and support Tipalti implementation, configuration, and optimization
• Configure Tipalti workflows, approval processes, payment settings, supplier/vendor onboarding, and accounting functionality
• Translate business and accounting requirements into Tipalti system configurations and workflows
• Plan, execute, and support Tipalti testing, including system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and troubleshooting
• Identify configuration issues and recommend solutions to improve system functionality and Accounts Payable processes
• Support Tipalti integration with Sage Intacct through CData, including testing, troubleshooting, and validation of data flows
• Develop and maintain detailed Tipalti configuration documentation, process documentation, and user procedures
• Review existing Accounts Payable processes and recommend opportunities for automation, standardization, and improved controls
• Establish and document appropriate segregation of duties and approval controls within Tipalti and related accounting systems
• Partner with Accounting and Finance leadership to ensure Tipalti supports business requirements and accounting policies
• Assist with the transition away from Bill.com and Divvy while supporting the continued use of Stampli AP
• Provide ongoing Tipalti support, optimization, and knowledge transfer to internal users
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective system configurations

Tipalti Implementation & Configuration Consultant Requirements

• Strong, hands-on Tipalti implementation experience required
• Extensive experience with Tipalti configuration and workflow setup required
• Proven experience with Tipalti testing, troubleshooting, and system optimization
• Experience documenting Tipalti configurations, workflows, and business processes
• Sage Intacct implementation and configuration experience required
• Experience supporting multiple functional areas within Sage Intacct
• Experience with CData, ideally supporting the integration between Sage Intacct and Tipalti
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes, accounting workflows, approvals, and internal controls
• Experience with segregation of duties and designing appropriate system access and approval structures
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system and integration issues
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with Accounting, Finance, and IT teams
