Job summary

Challenger Sports is seeking a part-time soccer coach to lead TinyTykes classes for children aged 2-6 in Huntington Beach and surrounding areas. You will implement a curriculum designed to develop basic soccer skills while supporting children's motor, social, and psychological development.

Classes run 45 minutes, multiple sessions per week, with uniforms and training provided. A personable, energetic, and enthusiastic demeanor is essential for engaging kids and collaborating with teammates.

Qualifications

• In date Criminal Background Checks.
• Must have up to date vaccinations.
• Must have up to date First Aid procedures.
• Must have EXPERIENCE working with children of this age group.
• Must have your own TRANSPORTATION.

Responsibilities

• Teach TinyTykes curriculum to 2-6 year olds in weekly 45-minute classes.
• Lead engaging, energetic sessions at preschools and sports complexes.
• Follow curriculum provided and coordinate with coordinators for scheduling.

Position available: Soccer coach for children aged 2-6.

What is TinyTykes? TinyTykes is a FUNdamental introduction to the game of soccer for players aged 2-6. Players learn the introductory skills of soccer through you teaching them fun games and stories in weekly classes lasting 45 mins each. Our soccer experts and child development professionals have designed an innovative curriculum for you to follow which introduces young soccer stars to the basic skills needed in soccer as well as developing their motor, social, and psychological skills.

Information:

• Classes run Monday through Saturday lasting 45-60 minutes each session. Typically classes run from 9am-11am and/or 1pm-3pm.
• Coaches will be provided with uniform, equipment, training and a curriculum to follow.
• TinyTykes offers flexible part-time working hours and the opportunity to work in a rewarding and fun environment. Classes typically take place at preschools and sports complex’s and run for 6-8 week blocks.

Compensation: $16-25 per hour, pay based on experience level.

Location: Coach to work in locations in Huntington Beach and surrounding areas.

Requirements:

• In date Criminal Background Checks.
• Must have up to date VACCINATIONS.
• Must have up to date current FIRST AID procedures.
• Must have EXPERIENCE working with children of this age group.
• It is essential you are PERSONABLE with a highly ENERGETIC and ENTHUSIASTIC persona when engaging with the children and colleagues you create relationships with.
• PLAYING EXPERIENCE in soccer is preferred but not required.
• Must have your own TRANSPORTATION.

Job Type: Part-time

Challenger Soccer Academy offers professional year-round coaching to recreation and/or competitive players and teams aged 5 - 18 years old.
