Job Summary:** The Timekeeping Coordinator II at Primoris Energy Services in Haskell, Texas, is responsible for accurately processing and auditing employee time records, ensuring compliance with company policies, project requirements, and labor laws. This role plays a critical part in timely and accurate payroll processing.
Job Responsibilities
- Collect, review, and process employee timesheets, time cards, and other timekeeping documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify proper coding of hours worked, including regular time, overtime, holiday pay, and other special pay types, according to company guidelines and project allocations.
- Reconcile discrepancies in time records by collaborating with employees, supervisors, and project management.
- Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements, state and federal labor laws (e.g., FLSA), and company payroll policies.
- Input time data into the designated timekeeping and payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Vista by Viewpoint, or similar ERP systems).
- Generate and distribute timekeeping reports for project managers, accounting, and HR as needed.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of employee profiles and project codes within the timekeeping system.
- Provide training and support to employees and supervisors on timekeeping procedures and system usage.
- Identify and implement process improvements for increased efficiency and accuracy in timekeeping operations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to timekeeping and payroll.
- Maintain confidentiality of all payroll and employee information.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in timekeeping, payroll, or a related administrative role, preferably within the construction or energy services industry.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in using timekeeping software (e.g., ClickTime, Kronos, ADP Workforce Now) and integrated ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Vista by Viewpoint).
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, wage and hour laws (FLSA), and general accounting practices.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve timekeeping discrepancies.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with employees, supervisors, and management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
