Job summary

Valero Energy is hiring a Timekeeper (Accounting Clerk - Represented) at the Port Arthur Refinery to handle daily clerical accounting duties on-site. You will verify and enter time data, support payroll processes, and assist the accounting group as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and familiarity with Kronos and SAP is preferred. Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality are essential as you work within defined timelines and deliver accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Skill in providing thorough, efficient, and effective customer service to individuals at all levels within the organization.

This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Port Arthur Refinery, required.


• High school diploma or GED required.


• Minimum six months payroll experience preferred.


• Experience in SAP preferred.


• Experience in Kronos Timekeeping system preferred.


• Experience with Timekeeping/Data Entry preferred.


• Ability to read and interpret company policies, regulatory guidelines, and other work-related documentation.


• Ability to abide by confidentiality requirements when working with sensitive information, results, and communications.


• Skill in providing thorough, efficient, and effective customer service to individuals at all levels within the organization.

Basic skill using Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word and Excel).
