Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Record employee call-ins and time-off requests; maintain attendance records.
  • Balance timecards with gate logs for accuracy.
  • Verify new hire documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Set up new hires in timekeeping systems.
  • File and organize project payroll records with confidentiality.
  • Prepare and distribute daily payroll reports.
  • Communicate payroll and timekeeping matters with staff and supervisors.
  • Ensure payroll complies with state regulations and company policies.
  • Review payroll data for accuracy before submission; resolve discrepancies.
  • Distribute weekly payroll reports and balance payroll for deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Here’s how a Timekeeper for PCL Industrial Construction Co. within US PICCo contributes to our team:

Responsibilities
  • Records employee call-ins and processes time-off requests, maintaining accurate attendance records.
  • Reviews and balances employee timecards against gate logs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Reviews new hire documentation to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company requirements.
  • Sets up new hires in company timekeeping systems.
  • Files and organizes project payroll records while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Runs, reviews, and distributes required daily reports.
  • Communicates effectively with employees, supervisors, and internal stakeholders regarding payroll and timekeeping matters.
  • Balances employee hours and payments, ensuring compliance with applicable state regulations, company policies, and contractual requirements.
  • Reviews payroll data for accuracy before payroll submission.
  • Runs and distributes required weekly payroll reports.
  • Submits balanced payroll within established deadlines.
  • Reviews and follows up on payroll discrepancies or corrections received from employees, supervisors, or district payroll teams.
  • Develops and maintains strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma.
  • Some co-op experience timekeeping or payroll experience an asset.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and a high level of detail orientation are required to maintain and submit all necessary documentation and meet deadlines and requirements.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to act with the required discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Flexibility regarding the schedule and the ability to mobilize to the site when required.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Basic skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
