Market Development Representative, Digital Wholesale (Timberland Americas)

What will you do?

A day in the life of a Market Development Representative, Digital Wholesale at Timberland looks a little like this.

The Market Development Representative is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day business activities related to the digital wholesale channel, with a focus on Amazon. Working proactively and collaboratively with the Amazon Account Executive to elevate the customer experience by creating and managing on-site content. You will identify opportunities to improve Timberland’s brand presence on-site while managing information and assets within Amazon’s systems to maintain organization and consistency across our catalog of products. MDR will also develop a thorough understanding of the Amazon online marketplace (onsite performance, consumer understanding, current/future market opportunities, etc), while having new product template duties and create a service distinction with this key retail partner through detailed account planning.

You\'ll be a trusted member of our team reporting to the Director of Sales. You\'ll collaborate and liaise with the digital wholesale sales team and work closely with Product Merch and Marketing teams to support Amazon’s needs.

  • Responsible for helping Senior AE develop an optimized customer experience on Amazon.
  • Responsible for all new product templates, managing Timberland product catalogs, and assisting with on-site functionality. Additionally, may take part in Amazon partnership meetings at the Timberland or VF level at the discretion of the Senior Account Executive or Director of Sales.
  • Will be responsible for accurate reporting of all activities back to the Senior Account Executive on a weekly basis.
  • Attend seasonal sales meetings.
Qualifications

What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, this role requires 1+ years of experience working in an e-commerce environment along with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university. An MBA/MS in Business Administration is preferred.

  • Experience in communicating with managers, directors, VPs and executives
  • Proven sales track record with demonstrated success in achieving quota
  • Experience with following sales processes and using CRM (Salesforce a plus)
  • A quick learner and fast on your feet

  • Natural leader and the gift of inspiring others
  • A clear communicator and a sense of urgency to get the job done
  • Location requirement: While this position is fully remote, the ideal candidate will reside within Washington to better service their client base.

Hiring Range:

$52,000.00 USD - $65,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
