Job Summary

The Tile & Vinyl Setter at NeoPod Systems is responsible for the precise installation of tile and vinyl surfaces within our modular building systems. This role requires expertise in surface preparation, measuring, cutting, and installing a variety of flooring and wall materials, ensuring quality, durability, and aesthetic consistency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled in handling adhesives and finishing techniques, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and install ceramic, porcelain, and other tile materials with precision.
  • Install vinyl flooring and wall coverings, ensuring smooth and secure application.
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives or underlayment.
  • Lay and align tiles properly, maintaining uniform spacing and adherence.
  • Use heat welders, rollers, and hand tools for vinyl application.
  • Apply grout, sealants, and finishing treatments to ensure durability and appearance.
  • Conduct quality inspections to meet production standards and specifications.
  • Maintain an organized work area and adhere to safety and cleanliness protocols.
  • Assist with material handling, inventory management, and workspace organization.
  • Collaborate with production teams to meet project deadlines and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in tile and/or vinyl installation in a construction or manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of tile setting and vinyl installation techniques, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical layouts.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to lift up to [50] lbs., kneel, bend, and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Experience in a modular construction or manufacturing environment is a plus.
