Job summary

Brekhus Tile & Stone, Inc. in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Junior Installer/Helper to assist in installing custom tile and stone for residential and commercial projects.

You will measure, prepare surfaces, mix grout, set tiles, and follow job specifications under the Lead Installer’s guidance, while maintaining safety and quality.

This entry-level role offers on-site training, hands-on experience with stone and tile installations, and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of stone and tile installation processes.
• Ability to read technical drawings and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled.
• Understand and follow blueprint and sequence instructions.
• Seek work order clarification from Lead Installer or Field Superintendent.
• Clean and level surfaces to be tiled.
• Remove old tile, grout, and adhesive.
• Mix mortar, plaster, or grout as specified.
• Apply adhesives to form a bed for tiles and install.
• Maintain tools and inspect quality control.
• Erect scaffolding and apply caulk or sealants.
• Cut or shape stone, tile, or granite to size.
• Transport materials and move heavy items as needed.
• Communicate daily progress to Field Superintendent.
• Complete time sheets and monitor inventory.
• Report issues to Lead Installer or Field Superintendent.
• Attend meetings and training as assigned.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations.
