Job summary

Dal-Tile LLC in Tennessee is seeking an Operations Associate in a 6PM-6AM shift to support the Additional Finishes department. You will help maintain safety, ensure product specifications, and support maintenance and training activities.

The role requires following the Quality Management System, assisting in audits, and coordinating with the maintenance team to sustain basic care programs. Join a team committed to safety and quality in a large tile manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with safety protocols and manufacturing safety standards.
• Experience in quality management systems, especially ISO 9001.
• Ability to perform and document lock/tag/test audits.
• Experience coordinating maintenance and basic equipment care.
• Experience training new hires on safety, quality, and ops.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety protocols are followed throughout the plant.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the Additional Finishes department.
• Follow ISO 9001 quality management standards across finishing operations.
• Perform lock/tag/test audits and support weekly safety trainings.
• Review and ensure compliance with product specifications in the department.
• Assist in PM planning and lubrication management.
• Support supervision in coordinating department operations.
• Train new hires on safety, quality policies, and equipment use.
• Collaborate with maintenance to sustain operator basic care programs.
• Fill-in and relief responsibilities for all Additional Finishes functions.
• Operate loader and unloader machines and handle basic maintenance tasks.
• Assist in water treatment tasks and chemical product applications.
• Complete additional tasks as needed.

Job Duties

• Ensures all safety protocols throughout the plant are adhered to
• Helps to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for Additional Finishes department
• Follows the Quality Management System, which is certified to ISO 9001 for all finishing operations
• Performs necessary Lock/Tag/Test audits and assists in delivering weekly safety training materials
• Ensures product specifications are followed throughout the Additional Finishes department
• Responsible for reviewing PM, lubrication (type of grease, oil and chemical products)
• Assist the supervisor in coordinating the operations of Additional Finishes department
• Responsible for training of all new hires in regards to safety, quality policy and management systems, as well as operations of all finishing equipment and product knowledge
• Responsible for working with maintenance team to develop and sustain operator basic care programs
• Fill-in and relief responsibility for all Additional Finishes job functions
• Operates loader and unloader machines, changes set-up, and completes basic maintenance tasks
• Assists in water treatment duties and application of chemical products
• Completed other tasks as needed
