Job summary

Dal-Tile, a Mohawk Industries subsidiary, is hiring for a role in the Additional Finishes department. The position supports a 12-hour night shift (6PM–6AM) and a 2-2-3 schedule, with responsibilities spanning safety compliance, quality control, and equipment maintenance.

The role involves training new hires, coordinating with the maintenance team, and ensuring adherence to product specifications and PM programs.

Qualifications

• ISO 9001 quality system familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all safety protocols throughout the plant are adhered to
• Maintains a safe and healthy working environment for the Additional Finishes department
• Follows the Quality Management System, certified to ISO 9001 for finishing operations
• Performs lock/tag/test audits and assists in weekly safety training materials
• Ensures product specifications are followed in the Additional Finishes department
• Reviews PM, lubrication, and chemical products for operations
• Coordinates operations of the Additional Finishes department with supervision
• Trains new hires on safety, quality policy, and equipment/ Product knowledge
• Works with maintenance to develop and sustain operator basic care programs
• Fill-in and relief for all Additional Finishes roles
• Operates loader and unloader, changes setup, and performs basic maintenance
• Assists in water treatment and chemical product application
• Completes other tasks as needed

Job Duties

• Ensures all safety protocols throughout the plant are adhered to
• Helps to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for Additional Finishes department
• Follows the Quality Management System, which is certified to ISO 9001 for all finishing operations
• Performs necessary Lock/Tag/Test audits and assists in delivering weekly safety training materials
• Ensures product specifications are followed throughout the Additional Finishes department
• Responsible for reviewing PM, lubrication (type of grease, oil and chemical products)
• Assist the supervisor in coordinating the operations of Additional Finishes department
• Responsible for training of all new hires in regards to safety, quality policy and management systems, as well as operations of all finishing equipment and product knowledge
• Responsible for working with maintenance team to develop and sustain operator basic care programs
• Fill-in and relief responsibility for all Additional Finishes job functions
• Operates loader and unloader machines, changes set-up, and completes basic maintenance tasks
• Assists in water treatment duties and application of chemical products
• Completed other tasks as needed
