Job summary
Shaw Industries is seeking a driven and analytical Process Engineer to support and improve Tile Cutting manufacturing operations. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment with mentorship from experienced engineering and manufacturing leaders.
The candidate will work with maintenance, quality, technical, and operations teams to improve safety, efficiency, reliability, and product quality, while driving process optimization and capital projects on the production floor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor-level engineering degree required.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or willingness to complete Green Belt/Black Belt training.
Responsibilities
- Understand and support Safety, TPM, Lean Six Sigma and environmental efforts.
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and operations teams across shifts.
- Lead planning, data collection and analysis for development trials and new product development.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, and operations teams to drive improvements.
- Develop maintenance instructions and optimize equipment settings.
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, safety and cost.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate progress and results of development efforts to leadership.
