Description/Qualifications

Become a success story in our Welding Department.

Hours: First Shift - Monday through Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.

Pay: Based on experience, $24/hr - $27/hr

Position Summary:

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Operate safety equipment and follow safe work habits.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding, using appropriate tools.
• Inspect workpieces for defects and measure to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Operate hand and power tools common to welding, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
• Weld using various materials including aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, etc.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt components for proper welding configurations.
• Select and install torches, tips, filler rods, and flux according to specifications.
• Ignite torches and strike arcs, ensuring proper electrical circuits.
• Adjust gas flow and pressure for desired flames.
• Determine appropriate equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy and welding techniques.
• Monitor welding processes to prevent overheating, warping, or distortion.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ welding experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent training.
• Experience with welding aluminum and sheet metal.
• Strong knowledge of TIG welding principles and practices.
