Job summary

Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team in Texas. The ideal candidate will weld stainless steel using a TIG process, read blueprints, and ensure weld quality with attention to detail.

Hours are from 6:00am to 3:30pm. The role requires reading layouts and drawings, operating related tools, and maintaining a safe, efficient workspace. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way.
• Ability to read a tape measure and caliper.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to read and understand blue prints and other shop drawing aids.
• Demonstrated competency in basic shop math, including fraction to decimal conversion skills.
• Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
• Safety conscious behavior.

Responsibilities

• Working hours from 6:00am-3:30pm
• Perform welding duties using a TIG welder.
• Weld steel components as specified by layouts and drawings.
• Work with others to assist in welding of multi-component parts.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, grinders, and cutting tools as needed.
• Inspect and correct welds to meet specifications.
• Read and follow job orders and drawings.
• Cross-train and perform other tasks as needed.
• Communicate with management for assignments and issues.
• Keep equipment and area clean and perform basic maintenance.
