Job summary

APEX Mechanical & Fabrication, Inc. is seeking full-time TIG welders to join our Newport, DE-based fabrication team. The job involves cutting, fitting, and welding stainless steel pipes, adhering to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

The role requires passing a TIG 6G stainless pipe weld test, OSHA-style safety awareness, and 5–8 years of pipe welding experience or completion of a pipe welding apprenticeship. Strong reading of blueprints is essential.

Qualifications

• Must pass TIG 6G stainless pipe weld test.
• Broad knowledge and experience in industrial petro/chemical and commercial construction environments.
• Ability to pass weld tests in accordance with ASME Section IX.
• At least five to eight years experience working in pipe welding fabrication or completion of a pipe welding apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Weld and join Stainless Steel pipes per specifications.
• Meet productivity, safety and quality standards.
• Read blueprints and schematics and follow procedures.
