Veolia is seeking a skilled welder for our Engineered Equipment shop in Norfolk, VA. The role involves laying out, fitting, and fabricating metal components to assemble structural weld forms, with emphasis on TIG welding and reading blueprints.

You will read diagrams, set welding parameters, operate grinders, and work with cranes. Safety, accuracy, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are essential in a busy fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with TIG welding and ability to complete successful welds on the 6G position interview day.
• High School Diploma/GED

Responsibilities

• Assists with other departments as needed.
• Works with and coordinates activities with other job classifications.
• Follows safe work practices and all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
• Reads and understands shop orders and bill of materials.
• Understands how the tools and materials replenishment system operates.
