Job summary

NMG Aerospace in Ohio is seeking a skilled TIG welder to fabricate and assemble stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium pressure vessels and structural components. You will perform brazing, electromechanical assembly, and precision welding to print specifications, maintaining AWS D17.1 standards and quality goals.

The role requires blueprint reading, adherence to safety protocols, and ability to pass welding tests.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3-5 years prior TIG welding experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with the Company
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment vision screening (corrected or uncorrected) to ensure ability to perform essential job functions
• Must take medical exams required by law in conjunction with occupation specific activities
• Must adhere to safety protocols including PPE requirements

Responsibilities

• Weld stainless steel/aluminum/titanium pressure vessels and structural components
• Oxy-acetylene torch brazing, and electromechanical assembly using hand tools
• Use necessary components to weld according to print
• Meet weld specifications for AWS certification
• Utilize gauges and measuring tools to ensure accuracy and integrity of tanks
• Operate TIG welders, metal shear, press brake, plasma arc, turn tables, rotary machines, torches, TIG equipment
• Must be able to read blueprints
• Must pass welding testing for certification Mil Std. 1595/ AWS D17.1 supplied by the Company
• Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
