Job summary

Snap-On Tools is seeking a welding technician to perform standard welding tasks with minimal supervision, interpreting blueprints and using basic measuring tools. The role involves selecting welding methods, setting up components, and ensuring quality through measurement and inspection.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, welding experience (GTAW/TIG preferred or 6 months training), and the ability to read technical documents and use measuring equipment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and measurements to weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions.
• Select welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Set up components for welding according to specs and cut materials as needed.
• Operate grinders to prepare parts for welding and ensure quality using calipers and gauges.
• Repair and maintain equipment without compromising safety and inspect welded surfaces for defects.
