Pioneer-Selection-Ltd in Hayes is seeking a Mechanical Fitter (TIG Welding and Fabrication) to join a growing FMCG manufacturing business. The role focuses on mechanical fitting, fabrication and TIG welding across conveyors, labellers and packaging equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical fitting or mechanical maintenance experience within an FMCG, manufacturing, production or industrial engineering environment.
• Must have TIG welding and fabrication experience.
• Must have experience working with mechanical components.
• Strong mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using workshop tools and fabrication equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive mechanical repairs.
• Support fabrication and modification of machine components, guards and frames.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Contribute to installation and commissioning of equipment where required.

Job Title: Mechanical Fitter (TIG Welding and Fabrication)

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + Overtime

Job Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a TIGWelder and Fabricator to join a growing FMCG manufacturing business based in Hayes. The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for mechanical fitting, fabrication and TIG welding, working on a variety of production and packaging machinery including conveyors, labellers, packaging equipment and multi-head weighers.

The role will involve carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive mechanical repairs, as well as supporting the fabrication and modification of machine components, guards and frames. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with opportunities for training, overtime and long-term progression.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of “Welder and Fabricator”
