Job Summary: Responsible for fitting and welding steel, aluminum, and stainless steel parts using MIG and/or TIG processes. The role requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up welding machines according to job specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine welding requirements.
  • Perform MIG or TIG welding on steel, aluminum, or stainless steel.
  • Ensure safety standards are followed and work meets quality standards.
  • Wear PPE including welding helmet and gloves.
  • Use precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and angles.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and care for equipment.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and focus on tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Arrive on time and adhere to scheduled hours.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of MIG or TIG welding experience required.
  • Experience working with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Current certification is a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Basic math skills.

Physical & Environmental Conditions:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, and kneel without difficulty.
  • Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to loud noises, heat, and fumes.
  • Work environment includes presence of forklifts and manufacturing machinery.
