Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a skilled TIG welder to join our sanitary production area in Wisconsin. You will read blueprints, measure and align parts, and weld stainless steel to tight tolerances according to drawings and customer specs.

In this role you will operate a drill press, belt sander, grinders, and related tools while maintaining safety and 5S standards in a fast-paced production environment.

• Reads blueprints to interpret specifications.

Responsibilities

• Welds using TIG process and inspects finished product for defects.

• Maintains a clean, safe work area and follows 5S procedures.

Job Summary/OverviewThe focus of this position will be to work within the Sanitary Production area performing TIG welding.Measure and align workpieces using straightedges, clamps, and various measuring equipment.Operate power grinders/tools, drill press, belt sander, and other miscellaneous hand tools.Interpret and manufacture to drawing specifications, customer requirements, and work order direction.Ensure welding operations meet set specifications and construction requirements and inspect finished product for defects.Works in a safe manner complying with all safety procedures.Maintains clean and safe work area following 5S procedures as required.Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and AbilitiesAbility to read blue prints.Proficient in using various measurement tools to establish the configuration or position of a welding plan.Ability to weld within tight tolerances.A team player with excellent communication skills.Basic computer, measurement, and math skills.Mechanical aptitude and blueprint reading skills.Ability to be flexible and adjust priories to reflect changing needs or job demands.Attention to detail.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to safely lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs.Previous experience in TIG welding of stainless steel.Candidates with two (2) or fewer \"Inconsistent\" ratings on their most recent performance review are qualified to proceed with the interview process.Candidates with three (3) or more \"Inconsistent\" ratings are not qualified to proceed.Candidates with any \"Unsatisfactory\" rating on their most recent review are not qualified to proceed.Candidates may have no more than one (1) documented written warning within the past 12 months.Candidates on a final warning for attendance are not qualified to proceed.Machines & technologies you'll use:TIG Welder
