Job summary

Cantrell - Gainco is seeking a Tig Welder to fabricate stainless-steel assemblies and weldments using supplied engineering drawings and verbal specifications. You will weld components to meet tolerance specs and operate welding, cutting, and forming equipment, while complying with safety guidelines.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of stainless steel TIG welding, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• A valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years Stainless Steel tig-welding experience.
• Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs.
• Outstanding attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
• Weld small and large components.
• Use specialized machinery for welding.
• Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify errors.
• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Tig Welders will primarily be responsible for fabricating stainless-steel assemblies and weldments using supplied Engineering drawings and other written or verbal forms of specifications. The Tig Welder will use various welding, cutting and forming equipment as required to ensure that all components meet tolerance specifications.
