Ichor Systems, Inc. is seeking a dependable TIG Welder to support our production team in Fremont, CA. You will weld stainless steel and aluminum to precise tolerances and read engineering drawings to meet customer specifications.

The role runs Monday–Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Candidates should have 3–5 years of TIG welding experience and a valid TIG certification or equivalent qualification.

• Experience welding stainless steel sheet metal, tubing, and fabricated components; chamber welding a plus.

Job Description

Ichor Systems is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented TIG Welder to support our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience welding stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and precision. This role is critical to producing high-quality products that meet customer specifications and company standards.

Shift

Monday through Friday 6am - 2:30pm

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on a variety of metals including stainless steel and aluminum.
• Must be able to perform autogenous GTAW on thin wall (.035\"-.065\") using a turntable.
• Must be able to weld with argon gas purge
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards are met. Can hold .020\" tolerance.
• Maintain welding equipment and work area in a clean and organized condition.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
• Produce high-quality welds that meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
• Use measuring tools and gauges to verify dimensions and weld quality.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, productivity, and reduce welding defects.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid TIG Welding Certification (preferred). AWS, ASME, or equivalent welding qualification is an added advantage.
• Minimum 3-5 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience welding stainless steel sheet metal, tubing, and fabricated components. Chamber welding experience is a plus.
• Experience in precision welding for high-quality industrial products is preferred.
• Proficient in TIG (GTAW) welding techniques.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of stainless steel welding processes and material characteristics.
• Familiarity with welding quality standards and inspection requirements.
• Skilled in using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, measuring tapes, and weld gauges.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to stand for extended periods during production.
• Able to lift materials up to company-approved weight limits.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with appropriate PPE.
• Good eyesight and hand-eye coordination for precision welding.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with stainless steel fabrication.
• Blueprint reading and layout experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or industrial fabrication environments.
• Knowledge of welding safety standards and quality inspection methods.

For candidates in California: The pay range for this position is $24.09 - $40.96 per hour. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
