Crane Co. is seeking a TIG Welder for the Production Team in Brazil, Indiana. You will join a team focusing on cryogenic equipment, ensuring welds meet specifications, are cosmetically acceptable, and crafted to high craftsmanship standards.

The role requires strong math skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lift 50 lbs, with a team-oriented work ethic and safety compliance as core values.

Qualifications

  • Ability to accurately manufacture from blueprints (welds must meet dimensional specifications and be cosmetically acceptable)
  • Follow welding requirements on certified welding jobs and follow procedures
  • Strong math skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sustain physical work

Responsibilities

  • Wrap insulation on localized areas of the product
  • Sharpen tungsten as needed
  • Follow Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS) on all certified welding jobs
  • Adhere to welding requirements in the Manufacturing Manual
  • Coordinate with supervision on rework and document completion
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Suggest method improvements and cost reductions
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor

We are currently seeking a TIG Welder to join our Production Team. As a TIG Welder you will participate in exciting projects at the forefront of cryogenic innovation! You will be accountable for all dimensions you create on any product ensuring that all welds meet appropriate specifications, are cosmetically acceptable, and meet good craftsmanship standards.

To thrive in this role, you'll need strong math skills and attention to detail, along with the ability to lift 50lbs. and follow written procedures and safety practices. Excellent attendance habits, a great work ethic, and the desire to work as a team are a must. Coming to work each day eager to learn, you'll grow the skills necessary to advance within the Production Team.

Qualifications
  • Experience with thin gauge stainless steel and aluminum
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to lift, bend, twist, and stoop
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately manufacture from blueprints (welds must meet dimensional specifications and be cosmetically acceptable)
  • The ability to follow welding requirements on certified welding jobs and follow procedures
Responsibilities
  • Wrapping insulation on localized area of product
  • Sharpening of own tungsten
  • Following Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS) on all certified welding jobs
  • Following welding requirements as specified in the Manufacturing Manual
  • Contacting supervision or Weld Coordinator when rework is required so the applicable rework documents can be completed
  • Following all applicable safety rules and regulations
  • Recommending and helping to implement method improvements and cost reductions.
  • All other duties as directed by supervisor

This is a production position located in Brazil, Indiana.
