Job summary

Morgan Corp. is seeking a TIG (GTAW) Pipe Welder to join our Industrial Division in Kingsport, TN. You will perform TIG welding on stainless steel and other alloys, interpret fabrication drawings, and contribute to quality, safety, and productivity on industrial projects.

The ideal candidate has strong welding skills, can read blueprints and weld symbols, and can pass our welding test. You will work both independently and as part of a team in challenging field conditions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel and other alloys.
• Must pass a company welding test prior to starting work.
• Ability to read and interpret welding drawings, blueprints and isometrics.
• Commitment to safety, quality and productivity on industrial sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel and other alloys.
• Produce high-quality welds in various positions and pipe sizes.
• Perform pipe and structural weld fit-up, alignment, and preparation.
• Read and interpret welding drawings, blueprints, isometrics and weld symbols.
• Apply correct welding procedure parameters and materials.
• Prepare materials through cleaning, grinding, beveling and joint prep.
• Inspect welds and identify defects, correcting issues as needed.
• Maintain weld quality, appearance and tolerances per project specs.
• Follow welding safety requirements and PPE standards.
• Work independently and as part of a team in field conditions.
