Job summary

Sacoma Specialty Products, LLC is seeking an experienced TIG/MIG Welder to join our professional manufacturing team. You will weld with GTAW and GMAW processes on mild steel, stainless steel (304 & 439), and aluminum, while reading blueprints and ensuring high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of TIG and MIG welding experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience welding mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Excellent blueprint reading and print interpretation skills.
• Able to consistently produce high-quality welds with attention to detail.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Able to successfully complete an in-house weld test.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding on mild steel, stainless steel (304 & 439), and aluminum.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Fit and weld assemblies according to specifications.
• Plan work sequences and determine tooling and material requirements.
• Prepare materials and surfaces for welding.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and customer specifications.
• Operate fabrication equipment and hand tools, including grinders, drills, and pneumatic tools.
• Monitor welding equipment and consumables to maintain efficient production.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
