Qualifications

• Dedication to excellence and a quality output.
• Ability to perform high quality welds in all positions (vertical up, down, flat and overhead).
• Ability to weld stainless steel and alloys (cast iron, nickel, manganese steels).
• Skill-set for TIG, MIG and ARC welding as required by product line.
• Ability to finish surfaces to food-grade standards on stainless steel surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Promote excellence throughout the department.
• Must be able to conduct themselves in a safe manner.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Read, write and interpret complex blueprints and lists of materials.
• Fabricate components and assemblies from blueprints and sketches.
• Plan various operations required to make assemblies.
• Familiarize with pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Maintain shop equipment and perform routine machine setup.
• Act as a group leader (where applicable).
• Drive continuous improvement in machine quality, safety, weld strength and productivity.
• Design, build and install guards and drive assemblies.
• Set-up and install drive assemblies.
• Perform final quality checks of products.
• Dimensional verification of parts and final product.
• Work in other areas as directed by supervision.
