Job summary

AAC is seeking an experienced IT Specialist for full-time, on-site support in the Washington, DC area. You will resolve complex IT issues, including hardware, software, and telecom problems, while aligning with security and policy guidelines.

You’ll work with security operations, perform malware analysis, and help harden network devices. Strong Microsoft tech skills and experience with ITSM tools are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and five years of IT experience.
• Associate’s degree with seven years of IT experience.
• Nine years of IT experience with a relevant IT certification.

Responsibilities

• Resolve hardware, software, or telecom problems with extensive analysis.
• Assist in security service support (firewall, Defender, endpoint tools).
• Scan and analyze infected desktops for malware.
• Hardening network devices and assist in incident response.
• Provide decryption/encryption support for current software.
• Develop security policies and procedures as directed.
• Evaluate new services, processes, and technologies.
• Work with system/app owners to remediate recurring issues.
• Develop and provide end-user training and guidance.
