Job summary

Clear Creek Federal, part of the Seneca Nation Group, seeks a Tier 2 Operations Engineer to support enterprise VDI, data systems, and cloud/on-prem environments for a federal government client. The role covers VMware Horizon administration, end-user support, and global monitoring, with two remote days per week.

Candidates should have a BS in IT/CS, 3–5 years’ enterprise IT experience, VMware Horizon 8 expertise, Windows and Linux server know-how, cloud/hybrid experience, and an active Top-Secret

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Hands-on VMware Horizon 8 administration experience (Connection Server, desktops, apps).
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux; cloud/hybrid environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer support in enterprise settings.
• Active Top-Secret Clearance (Secret acceptable) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage VMware Horizon 8 Connection Server environments.
• Administer Horizon 8 Virtual Desktops and Published Applications.
• Install, configure, patch, maintain, and troubleshoot VDI infrastructure components.
• Provide Tier II/III end-user support across global time zones.
• Administer Linux and Windows servers in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Monitor distributed data systems for availability and performance.
• Perform health checks, log analysis, tuning, and incident response.
• Assist with security compliance, access control, and credential management.
• Support system upgrades, backups, DR planning, and SOP documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams; participate in on-call rotations.
