Wunder Glow in Dade City, FL seeks a seasonal Ticket Scanner to greet guests, verify tickets and waivers, and guide entrants into a magical outdoor holiday experience. You will operate a handheld scanner, assist with timing and crowd flow, and ensure safety and accuracy at the entrance.

This role requires reliability for evening shifts, weekends, and holidays, plus comfort working outdoors. Training is provided and uniforms are supplied for the season, contributing to a festive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Friendly, confident, and clear communication, including when turning guests away politely.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest at the entrance.

• Collect waivers and check for completeness (including guardian signature for guests under 18).
• Direct guests without valid tickets or waivers to Box Office or waiver station.
• Manage lines and keep entrance organized and moving smoothly.
• Answer guest questions about the experience, entry times, and park rules.
• Report safety concerns or ticketing issues to a supervisor.
• Keep scanner charged, secure, and in good working condition.

Wunder Glow: Seasonal Ticket Scanner Position

Join Wunder Glow, a holiday light experience in Dade City, Florida, as a Ticket Scanner for our exciting holiday season. You'll welcome guests at the entrance to more than a mile of magical holiday light scenes, making sure every guest gets in quickly, safely, and with the right ticket for the right date and entry time. This is a great opportunity to work outdoors in a festive setting, build valuable guest-service skills, and be the welcoming face that kicks off each guest's night of holiday magic.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly at the entrance
• Scan General Admission and VIP Pass tickets accurately using a handheld scanner
• Confirm that each ticket is for the correct date and entry time
• Collect completed guest waivers and check them for completeness, including a parent or guardian signature for guests under 18
• Politely direct guests without valid tickets or waivers to the Box Office or waiver station
• Manage lines and keep the entrance organized and moving smoothly
• Answer guest questions about the experience, entry times, and park rules
• Report safety concerns, ticketing issues, or guest disputes to a supervisor immediately
• Keep your scanner charged, secure, and in good working condition

Work Areas You May Be Assigned To

• Main Entrance: Scan tickets and collect waivers as guests enter Wunder Glow
• Entry Line: Keep the line organized, make sure guests have tickets and waivers ready, and answer questions

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Strong attention to detail when checking tickets and documents
• Friendly, confident, and clear communication, including when turning guests away politely
• Reliable with punctuality and following instructions
• Comfortable using a smartphone or handheld device
• Available for evening shifts, including late nights, weekends, and holidays, during the season
• Able to stand for up to 8 hours, lift up to 20 lbs, and work outdoors at night in various weather conditions

Helpful but Not Required

• Experience with ticket scanning, event admissions, or access control (training provided)
• Customer service, hospitality, or theme park experience
