Job summary
MS Companies Inc. seeks an experienced Siemens TIA Portal Controls and Automation Electrical Engineer for a high-volume Florence, AL operation.
You will spend most days on the manufacturing floor, troubleshooting production equipment, programming Siemens PLCs, and implementing control improvements on a 24/7 site. The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of controls experience and direct Siemens TIA Portal PLC programming.
Qualifications
- This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of hands-on controls experience in manufacturing.
- Direct Siemens TIA Portal PLC programming experience is essential.
- Ability to diagnose, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and automated control systems.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary Siemens TIA Portal PLC programming and controls expert on the plant floor.
- Develop, modify, debug, and troubleshoot Siemens PLC programs to minimize downtime.
- Commission new and modified automation equipment and support maintenance teams.
- Collaborate with production operators to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability.
