Job description

We are seeking a Traffic Engineer / TIA Lead to drive our traffic engineering and impact analysis services while playing a key role in business development. This position blends technical expertise with client engagement, giving you the opportunity to manage projects, expand our market presence, and develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders. If you're a traffic engineer with an entrepreneurial mindset, this is the perfect opportunity to lead and grow within a dynamic firm.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify new opportunities, build relationships with developers, agencies, and municipalities, and secure contracts for traffic engineering services.
  2. Stay informed on local development trends, zoning changes, and regulatory updates to anticipate market needs and proactively offer solutions.
  3. Develop alliances with engineering firms, land-use planners, and environmental consultants to enhance service offerings and increase project opportunities.
  4. Represent the firm at industry conferences and networking events.
  5. Oversee the preparation of TIAs for various development projects, ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.
  6. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring high-quality, on-time submissions.
  7. Support junior staff in developing technical and client management skills.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Degree in engineering, planning or related field.
  2. PE License in Texas.
  3. 5 or more years of progressive experience in traffic engineering.
  4. Expertise using engineering software (i.e., Synchro, Vissim, Excel, Word, ArcGIS, etc.), development codes, manuals, and methodologies required for above projects.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Existing relationships with the development community.
  2. Demonstrated success in managing projects to scope, schedule, and budget.
  3. Strong team building and team management skills.
