Job summary

Themis Insight is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator for our Annapolis Junction, MD team to manage Linux-based infrastructure and large Hadoop deployments. You will SSH into Linux hosts, install software, and monitor systems while leveraging Docker, Kubernetes, Traefik, and related tools to maintain reliability and performance.

The ideal candidate holds TS/SCI with Poly, a formal cloud or Hadoop certification, and multiple years of hands-on administration experience.

Qualifications

• Required Hadoop/Cloud Systems Administration Certification with 5+ years managing large Hadoop clusters.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
• Four additional years of related experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with Linux systems and administration.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic Linux tasks: SSH into servers, install software (RPM/YUM), and monitor status.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and Traefik to maintain reliable infrastructure.

Description

This team helps vet and onboard DIB companies with the variety of services the CCC Partnerships Team offers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform basic Linux tasks to include SSH to remotely connect to a linux machine, install software in linux (RPM, YUM), understand docker, kubernetes, traefik etc and gather status from linux machines.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required

• Hadoop/Cloud System Administration Certification with five (5) years of experience managing and monitoring large Hadoop clusters (>200 nodes).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of additional experience on projects with similar requirements may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
