Position Summary
Plan, layout, install, test, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment, and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Interpret drawings, sketches, software, and plans to determine the best work procedures, tools, and equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems.
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminations.
- Install control and distribution apparatus and secure in place.
- Test and start up systems; check circuit continuity to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
- Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to identify hazards and determine the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment as needed.
- Work with high and low voltage systems.
- Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems.
- Operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power tools, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tools.
- Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed for tasks.
- Inspect subordinate’s work for compliance with plans and specifications; identify deficiencies and take corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in the field or related area preferred.
- Strong working knowledge and skills for the position.
- Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions; effective communication with management and supervision.
- Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand, power, layout, and measurement tools.
Requirements:
- Ability to move about a construction/industrial site continuously; capable of standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Work in a construction environment exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
- Work irregular hours, including weekends, overtime, and holidays.
- Use ladders, mechanical platforms, manlifts, scaffolds to access work areas, which may exceed 200 feet; ability to climb and maintain balance on various structures.
- Move and work in confined, cluttered, and uneven spaces.
- Complete tasks in noisy and dusty environments.
- Move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction sites.
- Possess required tools.
- Observe safety and project rules; perform other duties as required.
- Pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing; be fit for duty.
