Job summary

JR Automation Technologies, LLC, a Hitachi Group Company, seeks a Throughput Simulation Engineer to join our Lake Orion/Holland, MI team. You will develop discrete event simulations for manufacturing and warehousing, identify bottlenecks and model capacity to support proposals and customer decisions.

This role requires 3+ years in robotics or industrial automation, a mechanical or software engineering degree, and experience with tools like Process Simulate, RobotStudio, and RoboGuide.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of direct experience with robotics in industrial automation or similar industry.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Software engineering preferred.
• Experience with robotic and/or discrete simulation software preferred (e.g., Process Simulate, Plant Simulate, RobotStudio, RoboGuide).
• Ability to experiment, think creatively, and propose innovative solutions.
• Strong analytical and programming aptitude; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop discrete event and throughput simulations for manufacturing, warehousing, and material handling systems.
• Analyze bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with customers, sales, and engineering to evaluate designs and operational strategies.
• Provide simulation results, paths, and data to engineering teams and proposals.
• Maintain simulation standards and share knowledge across JR Automation entities.
