Job summary

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation in Oklahoma City is seeking seasonal Ride Operators to launch coasters and load riders safely. You will be at the ride control panel, monitor lights, enforce height restrictions, and respond to emergencies under supervision.

This role requires standing for long periods, working outdoors in varying weather, and willingness to work weekends/holidays. Training includes iROC certification and ride tests, with pay up to $12.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older.
• Able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach during shift.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.
• Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to uphold safety policies consistently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Guest safety and satisfaction during their visit.
• Enforce rider restrictions including height requirements.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain control until a supervisor arrives.
• Communicate proper hand signals during ride operation.
• Watch ride and waiting Guests during the ride cycle.
• Physically check restraints.
• Assist Guests as they exit the ride.
• Manuals open restraints when necessary.
• Operate the control panel and monitor ride lights; stop ride during critical situations.
• Validate Fast Passes at assigned rides and manage load sequencing for safety.
• Complete Ride Operator Certification (iROC) course and tests with 100% proficiency.
• Stand at the control panel and run the ride, monitoring flashing/solid lights.
• Perform test rides when directed by supervisors for safety.
• Report unsafe acts to supervisors.
• Maintain ride area cleanliness including trash, bags, and sweeping leaves.
