Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking an Operations Team member at the Jurupa Valley Distribution Center. This role involves sorting, grading, pricing, and processing donations to support the Adult Rehabilitation Program, with potential for growth and employee benefits.

Responsibilities include inspecting items, tagging prices, maintaining a clean workspace, and assisting in other warehouse tasks as needed. Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic reading and math skills.
• Good judgment on item condition and quality.

Responsibilities

• Open and sort incoming donations by category (clothing, housewares, electronics, books, toys, furniture).
• Separate sellable items from salvage, recycling, and trash.
• Place sorted items in correct bins, carts, or staging areas.
• Inspect items for stains, tears, damage, missing parts, and working condition.
• Test electronics and small appliances when required.
• Price items according to the ARC pricing guide.
• Meet daily sorting and pricing goals; keep workstation clean and stocked.
