Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory’s CLOVIS Thrift Store is hiring a friendly, customer-focused cashier to join our Retail Team. The role offers $16.90 per hour, with part-time shifts across evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a fast-paced store environment.

You will handle POS/Cash Register operations, assist donors, stock merchandise, and maintain a clean, organized sales floor while delivering excellent service to every customer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock priced items and merchandize on the sales floor.
• Maintain store and donation area clean, neat, and organized; perform cleaning duties as assigned.
• Follow POS/Cash Register Policies in accordance with TSA policies.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Attend required Monthly Store Meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory items accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect products for defects and damages to provide Quality Assurance.
• Assist donors with removing donated items from their vehicle and provide receipts.
• Sort donated material into proper containers and stack as instructed by Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
