Job summary

Hope the Mission's Floor Associate role focuses on making the thrift store welcoming and well-organized. You will greet customers, assist with finding items, operate the cash register, and help maintain a clean, engaging shopping environment that encourages repeat visits.

Reporting to the Thrift Store Manager, you will work on daily tasks such as stocking, facing merchandise, cleaning, and ensuring safety and pleasant interactions with staff, volunteers, and the public.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Background screening, drug/alcohol testing per policy.
• MVR check if driving is required.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
• Compliance with company policies including safety and conduct.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers throughout the store
• Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently
• Help customers locate items and answer questions about the store
• Stock merchandise and return items to their proper location
• Zone shelves to increase item visibility
• Face shelves to create full displays
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum the sales floor daily
• Take out trash and maintain clean common areas
• Clean windows and glass display cases
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment
• Communicate respectfully with staff, volunteers, and the public
• Foster a warm, courteous, and professional atmosphere
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Thrift Store Manager
