The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Thrift Store Clerk/Sorter at the Homer Thrift Store. The role handles cash and donations, maintains pricing and stock, and serves as a brand ambassador in a community thrift setting.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of related work experience, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently with confidential information and background checks as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year work experience in any field (sales/retail preferred).
• Ability to operate a cash register, credit card machines, and handle monetary transactions.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, with basic reading, writing and math abilities.
• Ability to work with the public, co-workers and volunteers from diverse backgrounds.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Maintain cash register, ring in sales, issue credit slips, and make corrections.
• Respond to telephone inquiries in a professional, friendly manner.
• Receive and assist in resolving complaints from customers regarding merchandise.
• Provide excellent customer relations by ensuring all merchandise is properly priced.
• Stock store: sort, price, merchandize, and restock items as directed.
