Job Summary

Our associates at Red, White, and Blue Thrift perform a range of tasks essential to our retail operations. These positions require attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The roles are full-time, with medical benefits available after 90 days of employment. Brief descriptions of our positions are provided below.

Available Positions and Tasks

1. Facilities Associates: Unloading/loading trailers, operating a trash compactor, operating a baling machine, janitorial duties. This position is labor-intensive.
2. Production Associates: Pre-sorting donations, sorting, pricing, hanging, tagging, attaching sensors, and distributing merchandise to the floor.
3. Sales Floor Associates: Cashier, Sales Floor, and Donation Center Attendant roles.
4. Other positions include: Box Truck Driver, Dispatcher, and Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in thrift, retail, warehouse, back-of-house, or customer-facing roles is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other standards, including meeting productivity requirements.
• Ability to lift and carry 40-70 lbs occasionally, exert up to 25 lbs frequently, and handle objects with negligible force constantly.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Proficiency in repetitive motions and fine motor tasks.
• Good balance, agility, and visual acuity.
• Ability to work effectively in noisy, brightly lit, and busy environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interactions with customers, donors, and colleagues.
• Flexibility to switch tasks and departments as needed.

Language Requirements

• Basic understanding of written and spoken English is necessary for effective communication and understanding instructions.
