Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul Southwest Idaho is seeking a Donation Processor for our Meridian Thrift Store. The role supports merchandising by sorting donated goods and assisting the Store Manager with selling techniques, pricing, and cashiering responsibilities.

Responsibilities include processing donations, pricing and stocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment while delivering warm, helpful customer service to shoppers and neighbors in need.

Qualifications

• Communicate effectively with fellow workers, staff and customers.
• Learn, interpret and implement policies relating to the store operation and merchandising.
• Ability to manage multiple work tasks.
• Knowledge of basic cashiering and sales practices.
• Ability to accurately count cash and change.

Responsibilities

• Processing: separates goods for the floor, ARC, or landfill; checks merchandise for cleanliness or damage; prices items per merchandising strategy.
• Cashiering: handles vouchers, cash, checks, and credit card payments; ensures secure card data; provides friendly customer service.
• General: follows safety procedures; performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
